What is there to learn in 300 days of life? Well In The Beginning, God created a Small Being. That being becomes responsible for alot of things. Not necessarily independence just yet. But survival of the fittest. Then development comes to fruition.
She has learned to smile when smiled upon. It's the version that makes you wanna melt. Then she also learns how to kick and scream. I think sign language develops way too soon way too natural. Of course this is their language. What else. Oh her mobility. Why can't she stay in one place doing so.
Building into her motor skills comes at a cost. I think I had a remote thrown at my left eye, an innocent incoming hug turned head butt and oh let's not forget that 9 months of tummy turning stretch markings. When referring to the learner's manual, I know I can always go back to the origins.
There's really no measuring tape to draw out the right amount of love and effort you need to put into baby care. The joy is in watching her grow. Even if she decides to go off the beaten path.

Gwen Felt Gross After Giving Birth
http://omg.yahoo.com/blogs/goddess/gwen-stefani-i-felt-so-gross-after-giving-birth/624
Okay in response to her interview from Elle magazine, there was much to assume. Briefing the article you might have thought that she was disgusted by the very act of giving birth. When in reality, she just felt fat.
I don't think fathers can understand fully what a woman goes through and the up and down emotions that follow. As if we are suppose to bounce back to our normal self the day after. One month later. Even a year down the road.
The busyness of child rearing adds to the disarray. When diaper changing is the centerpiece topic, the last thing on your mind is to be pretty or feel pretty. Tending to your children takes precedence. All other things can wait. To Gwen that means your career.

Beware of the Mall Walkers
I got into the mall just as the security guard came to unlock the doors. Little did I know a sub-society of mall walkers beat me to it. I am the novice mall walker, not knowing where to yield. Typically its to a 74 year older. They know where and how to dodge. I kept running over the store signs with the stroller. I think I need to take a class on Mall Walking 101. They go their own pace. Some time themselves in a rush, others stroll with a coffee in hand. The latter is me.
I think the more I mall walk, the safer I can be. And maybe even lose a pound or two.

So Hard to Please
Just when you have it figured out, it turns out to be complete opposite. A child's happiness is alot to fill. Weekends may be a time to relax, but when you have kids you can throw that notion out the door. We went to the ballet with the kids for the first time. Of course ants in the pants is commonplace. Finding our seats was the most excitement for them. Going to the concession stand for cinnamon almond peanuts tied for second. At least they weren't kicking and screaming to leave after intermission. We finished the play with a little bit of reprieve. They came away from the experience feeling like its just another person's hobby they worked hard at. Lesson learned, read the book before you see the play! Time to go to the Brauthaus to celebrate with the Pagans.

Kid Accountability
There is never a dull moment with kids and trail mix. Trail mix is so innocent. That is the difference. Kids will find out you, the parent, ate and picked out the last M & M of the mix. Call me color blind, but I cant even find that stuff out until last minute...when its gone! I was going to plant more M & Ms in the trail mix, but I would be called out for refurnishing.
If they are so good at sniffing out the missing, why can't they help me find that other sock.
